If you have the time available, it would be nice to spend as much time as possible in the Caribbean, traveling from port to port, seeing all there is to see in this amazing region. Parts of this area are more commercial, while many maintain a natural charm. You may spend time shopping or snorkeling in the more modern areas, or hiking and horseback riding in the other areas. Cascading waterfalls, uninhibited rainforests, and pristine beaches will make you want to stay in this fantastic region forever!
The best part about Caribbean cruises is that you return to the ship every night (unless otherwise scheduled) and enjoy the comfort and luxury that might not be available in the areas you are visiting. A grass hut can not hold a candle to a king-size bed; nor does cooking on a fire compare to having dinner brought to you on silver trays! Certain specials may allow you to camp or stay in a native hotel, but this is a choice, not a requirement of visiting the region. You can rough it during the day, and relax in comfort when you have had enough of nature.
