Keeping It Easy With Fundraising

If you have worked on fundraisers in the past, you can attest to how frustrating a difficult fundraising idea can get. There is passing out paperwork, collecting paperwork, sending the paperwork in, receiving shipments, delivering shipments to students or having them pick them up, and then having the students deliver the product to their customers. All of this just seems difficult and unnecessary! With many of these fundraisers, the organization is only netting a very small percentage of the profits from the sales. Why not try an easy fundraising idea that allows you to take home more of the profit instead?

The Easiest Ideas

While a fundraising event idea will almost always be complex, a simple fundraising activity or a fundraising opportunity at another event can be easy. A very easy fundraising idea is simply a 50/50 raffle. These raffles work best at a large event like a sporting event or the drama clubs main production. All you have to do is sell raffle tickets. At the predetermined time, someone draws a ticket from the bin. Whoever has the matching ticket wins fifty percent of whatever you took in. With this easy fundraising idea, many people actually choose to donate their winnings back to the organization anyway! If you did not want to do a 50/50 raffle you could also do a 75/25 raffle.

Raffles in general are very easy fundraising ideas. You can sell raffle tickets to just about anything. Along these lines, basket bingo is a very easy fundraising idea. Have companies or individuals put together baskets and donate them to the organization. Then simply have people pay to come play bingo and the basket is the prize!

Other Easy Fundraising Ideas

Aside from raffles and bingo, there are other easy fundraising ideas out there. A bake sale is a very easy fundraising idea. All you need are parents and students to donate food items, a table, and a great location. If your town is having a fair or festival, set up a table! The best thing to do for your bake sale is to cater to the event. If you are setting up at a winter festival, make sure to sell hot chocolate and hot coffee. If you are at a summer event, have coolers filled with ice and cold water, sodas, and juice. Make sure that you have the typical bake sale items like cookies and brownies as well as nontraditional items that people might not expect.

Easy fundraising ideas are possible and practical to raise money for your organization!

Finding Unique Fundraising Ideas

If you are a Parent Teachers Association member, a parent of a child on a sports team, school club, or in another extracurricular activity, you are used to fundraisers. You have purchased countless cookies and trinkets, chocolates and lollypops. You have brought complicated fundraising paperwork to your office or other workplace and tried to coerce your coworkers into purchasing items from your child. To be blunt, you are sick of the usual fundraising ideas! You are ready for a change. Instead of a difficult, boring, same old fundraiser, you want an easy fundraising idea and a unique fundraising idea.

Think Outside Of The Box

The key for coming up with or finding a unique fundraising idea that is also simple is to simply think outside of the box. You do not need to rely on fundraising companies in order to make money for your organization. These companies often times sell subpar products at inflated prices, and your potential buyers know this! Most people do not buy from fundraisers because they actually want the product. Instead, they view it as a donation to the organization. You can capitalize on this by simply not selling a product in the traditional sense! Why waste money on these fundraising organizations? Often times you only get a small percentage of the money raised, so why not focus on something where you will get to keep almost all of the profits?

Service Based Fundraisers

Some of the most unique fundraising ideas are service based fundraisers. These fundraisers are also incredibly easy. Simply spread the word (via advertising or word of mouth) that your group will be mowing yards, taking leaves, cleaning garages, painting, moving furniture, etc. to raise money for their organization. You can have a flat rate or charge accordingly per job depending on the difficulty. The only downside with this is that you will have to have an adult chaperone present at each house to ensure the childrens safety. The positive aspect to this unique fundraising idea is that the children are actually physically working for their organization and will learn a lesson about hard work paying off.

Auction Fundraisers

Auction fundraisers are certainly unique fundraising ideas. With an auction, you can ask local businesses and companies to donate services or products to auction off to the highest bidder. Parents will be willing to pay more because they know that all of the money is going right into their childs organization.

If you make your fundraiser unique and simple, you can almost guarantee that you will garner more profits than traditional fundraisers!
