When it is blocking cold outside, it is hard to think about the women’s swimwear season, but in other parts of the world Australia and Asia summer has already come or is just all but to start. This year, Beach smartness is specified with bold colors, geometrical prints and retro silhouettes-timeless, yet exhaustively modern. Here are a few fundamental trends which are contemplated in the collections for the summer season:
Colors and Prints
New York Runway styles for African cheered tribal and jungle prints can be ascertained in the new collections. Victoria s Secret Designer Collections have a Red Carter Giraffe cut-out one-piece and a sexy Tiger print & dots push-up tankini top. Online retailers Asos, Figleaves and Victoria Secret have women’s swimwear with leopard or tiger prints.
From the runways of Milan, geometrical prints have heavily this season along with the style for dissymmetry and one-shoulder fashion.

One-Piece Women Swimwear
The swimwear trends see a big resurgence of the one-piece suit, which is frequently more flattering than a bikini. Kerrie McCallum, editor of Shop Til You Drop, states “I am loving the resurgence of the one-piece, I think it’s stylish and glamourous,” in the article “What’s the one-piece one will take on holiday,” of January 2008.
Main trends this season are Grecian-style one-shouldered swimwear and a resurgence of the more cautious retro ’40s and ’50s style.
There are also many trendy women’s plus size swimwear available in the market which is also designed by many famous designers.
Cut-Away Women’s Swimwear
Call it a swimsuit or monokini, the hottest piece of swimsuit is the cut down or cut-away, according to Style dash in their article.
Sexier than a one-piece and less bringing out than a bikini, the cut-away swimwear is a great choice, giving one more reporting around the stomach but allowed for a larger tanning region than a one piece. Great for affording one more tanning choices that a one piece, particularly with the open bikini-style back up, but the only trouble is some very unusual tanning lines around the middle!
