Sea kayaking is a popular and adventurous pastime in Alaskan waters. You can test your skills in choppy waters or stick to a calmer course and simply enjoy the sights. An opportunity to see much of the shoreline wildlife as well as the animals of the sea, kayaking is definitely a consideration to be made.
On the other hand, you may want to hike into the wilderness to see the untamed life that is beyond the tree line. A plethora of animals are there to be seen and enjoyed, from a distance, of course, unless you feel really brave. You can couple this activity with rock climbing or more stringent hiking of rough terrain, if you so dare.
However, if difficult cliffs are not your cup of tea, you may also choose to explore rainforests, secluded beaches, or other remote parts of the area. You may return to the ship at night, or for a real treat, camp out in the great wide open. There is no limit to the activities available to you if you have the courage to face them.
