Of course one of the most major pieces of the Halloween holiday is the Jack-o-Lantern. Everyone should have one carved and out on their front yard or deck for all to see. This is a great way to celebrate the holiday, and you can personalize your pumpkin and be as creative as you like.

To really make it spooky, put a dark colored candle inside of the Jack-o-Lantern after you have carved it so it will give off a gloomy, eerie feel.

A really creative Halloween yard decoration idea is to make monster footprints. You can do this very easily, and all you have to do is use a magic marker and draw a footprint in a big sponge. Now you want to cut out the footprint, dip it in paint and glow in the dark paint will work best, and then you want to press the sponge in different spots going up your yard and up the stairs to the door.

This way the kids will be amazed at the monster footsteps but it will also give them something to follow to get up safely to your door in the dark.

Bobbing ghosts are another great Halloween yard decoration idea. They are very simple to make, and all you have to do is start with one piece of cheesecloth that is about 2 yards long and 1 yard wide, and then you want to place a helium filled Halloween in the middle of the fabric and gather it loosely around the balloon.

Now you just draw a face on the cloth with a felt pen and you are finished. You can make as few or as many of these as you want, but they are really great and really simple to make so you shouldn t have much trouble.
