I got this kitchen for my daughter’s 2nd b-day…worth every penny!! My 6 yr old son & my 9 yr old son love to play it too. The bar bq is the hit! Need to buy more play food though.

  2. Slightly dissappointed

I have only two complaints. First, putting it together with NO predrilled holes was very challenging. And second, the compartments are all way too shallow. You can only put in one or two items in the frig. Anymore, the door will not shut. There is plenty of wasted space in the hollow mold to make the storage larger.

We bought this kitchen for our 3 year old son. They have one at his day care and all the children play with it – girls AND boys. He’s thrilled to “cook like Daddy”. It has kept him occupied quite nicely and has been lots of fun.

  4. So great I bought a second one for my granddaughter’s house

So easy to put together. My two year old grand daughter plays for hours on end. So much so that she misses her kitchen when she goes home so I bought her another one for her house. It is so like a real one that she is learning how to cook for real!

  5. Great Kitchen

Bought this kitchen for my grand daughter. She loves it, she is only one. But enjoys the knobs and phone. Great little kitchen for her to grow into.

  6. The kids loved it!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my godchildren (ages 2 and 5). Liked and used by both, although, the 2-year old girl hardly lets her brother near it! Super fast delivery — even at Christmas time!

  7. Don’t Expect Customer Service from Little Tikes
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
After much research, I decided on this particular kitchen as a Christmas present for our toddler. I chose it because although it was rather expensive, it had the most features and seemed to have the most flexibility and potential to remain interesting for many years to come.

Unfortunately, after only three months, she accidentally spilled some juice onto the stovetop portion and shorted out the sound board. After writing to Little Tikes about the issue and asking for a replacement stove top/sound board, I was given a “too bad, so sad” response from their customer “service”. This basically renders a $150+ toy useless after only a few months! Of course the basic construction is still there, but now it is just like any other kitchen that cost half as much.

Little Tikes should know that their target customer is a person who is inquisitive and has a tendency for mishaps. Not having replacement parts for big ticket toys is simply inexcusable, and their lack of responsiveness makes it even worse. Electronic components should be well sealed and placed in areas that have little chance for being subject to accidents.

More bells and whistles don’t necessarily make a toy more fun, but not having them on a toy that is supposed to definitely diminishes the value of the toy to both the child and the parent. From now on, I will include the availability of replacement parts in my research for any big ticket toy items. It’s really too bad that Little Tikes is so unresponsive to the needs of their customers, so chances are that future big ticket toys will be purchased from other manufacturers.

This kitchen is full of fun features and is ready for hours of creative play.

  9. Great Kitchen!!

The Little Tikes Sizzle and Serve kitchen is wonderful! It took about one hour to put the kitchen together but it was worth it. I would suggest either drilling the holes for the screws or punching them out with a sharp point before trying to screw anything together. Everything went together perfectly. I purchased this for my one year old daughter. She already loves to stand up to the sink and loves playing with the food and accessories that came with the kitchen. As always, the order with Amazon was easy and it arrived at my door in less then a week!

  10. Great Toy

My two children absolutely love this toy! I have a 10 month od and a 4 year old and they both love to play at this kitchen and have it make the different noises. Their favorite is the grill they love to watch the pretend flames. This kitchen offers enough space for 2-3 children to play at. We love it!

We bought this kitchen for our 3-year-old. I write this hastily so another parent does not have the same experience I did. My 10-month-old was able to remove the white plastic ice dispenser knob without any difficulty and fit the ENTIRE piece in his mouth. It could easily obstuct a toddler’s airway. It simply slides off the main portion of the ice maker. Beware! As a secondary FYI, the grill portion is supposed to have a “sizzle” sound. However, this feature has never worked for our kitchen.

My daughter loves this kitchen. She loves the sounds it makes – the grill, stove, and knobs on the dishwasher and oven. She even makes a few of her own sounds to go along with it. She is only 2, her boy cousin, 5 years old loves it too! Keeps both of them busy for hours. If you are looking for a kitchen is one is for you. Ordering on Amazon was great – never had to leave the comfort of my home or fight the crowds in the parking lot or store for the perfect Christmas gift. Plus, no worrying about how to get it home. Came right to the door with no shipping costs!

  13. A great kitchen for the money, BUT

I had to wait a while after putting this kitchen together to write this review. It was a pain in the behind! The holes weren’t drilled, you had to predrill or try and force the screw into the plastic parts with no pilot holes. This left some of the pieces not perfectly straight. One of the pegs that holds the cabinet doors on was broken off, now I have to make a warranty claim to get a new one. Finally, on my list of complaints, there are several pieces that DO have holes drilled for them with an anchor type peg on the piece that is to be inserted. These are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to actually get put together. The knobs on the oven/dishwasher still are not completely inserted. About five different people have tried everything to get them in and they won’t go completely in, they are on a little crooked, but wont’ come out, so I’ll live with it, there’s no other choice. I contacted Little Tikes and asked what how to fix them, no response. Very frusterating, I expected more out of Little Tikes.

Now for the actual use of the toy. It’s great.

-Big enough for both kids to play with it at the same time

-Kids love the noises the grill and stove make

-Plenty of different things to keep them entertained

-Taller and bigger than most kitches for taller kids

-Nice looking enough that I don’t even mind having it in my real kitchen

-Plenty of storage for all the kitchen stuff (food, dishes, etc.)

-Sturdy: both kids stand on the oven/dishwasher doors and they haven’t broken yet

    -Grill is a nice touch

    -Lots of accessories

    -Assembly was terrible

    -Holes weren’t predrilled

-Easy to get pieces put together not straight

-No customer assistance for putting together

    -Pieces arrived broken

-Liners don’t stay in the baskets, I just took them out for good

Overall, I feel this is a good kitchen for the money, just be prepared for bumps in the road and PERMANENT small imperfections with no help from Little Tikes.
