I check out all of them but golf logix had all my coarses. Golf buddy and the others didn’t. I sent e-mails to all of them but golf logix was the only reply. At first one golf coarse wasn’t on the list but they got it on in a few days.In the first few weeks I had 3 golf coarse updates. GREAT SERVICE

I purchased and returned. I then bought the Garmin Approach. Personally, I like the aerial view of the current hole. I like seeing the hazards on a lot of blind shots at the courses I play and be able to point and get measurement from outside the fairway and back on track when I hit bad shots. This is definitely much cheaper than Garmin’s or the top of the line comparable products in the 400-500 range. I gave it a 3 because it is missing those aerial views.

Very easy to use & very accurate even on a small North Ga. course. Lot of information about each hole. Getting about 4+ rounds on a set of batteries. It helped take about 6 strokes off my game the first time I used it. I am about a 15 handicap. Now if I could just putt!

  4. GolfLogix is the best

I have been using this for a year now and can say it is the most simple GPS on the market. I have played with others that over load you with data that you don’t need. GolfLogix give me the numbers and information that I need, you just turn it on and go. I also the to fact that is is rugged, I have left it in a cart during a storm, dropped it on the cart path, steeped on it and it keep working. It does not have a color screen and show me a picture of the green or do a flyover for the hole is just gives me the numbers I need to get on the green with out having to play with buttons to do get the numbers.

  5. Great on distance

I guess it’s all right. It gives good distances to the center of the green. Only problem, my game still stinks, didn’t help that much. If it would swing the club for me, i would give it 6 stars.

I have owned this product for approximately one year and I am very satisfied. This is actually my second one as the first one slipped off of my belt and it was run over by the golf cart behind me. This is a rugged unit and will take drops and a certain amount of abuse, but it won’t handle being run over.

If you are looking for a unit that keeps track of your scores and other statistics, this is not for you. It will automatically find the course you are at and will tell you yardage to the hole. It will also measure that long drive that you hit with your driver. It is quite accurate and you will find that it is hard to play without it once you get used to it.

Golflogix does constant course updates and will notify you of this. I have never found a course that is not available on this unit. The $30.00 annual fee is also the least expensive of the various manufactures. There tech support is easy to work with as I did find an error on one course. I called them and a change was made in 48 hours.

I should mention that several of my golfing buddies after seeing my golflogix, have gone ahead and purchased one for themselves.

Aside from a little difficulty attaching the cable to the GPS to register the product, I have nothing but good things to say about the GolfLogix GPS. I have used it four times with no problems.

  8. Fantastic Device!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I spent considerable time reviewing all the available GPS units out on the market. Granted, the old saying that you get what you pay for, applies here also. The devices in the $4-500 dollar range were full of extras but I was looking for something that would fit my budget and suit my needs. Without question, the Golflogix does just that. One of the big factors in my decision to buy this unit was my far sightedness. I just didn’t want to wear my glasses to read the numbers that were very small on a number of the other devices. Golflogix’s big number display is perfect. No glasses needed as the numbers are large enough to read without problem. I have used it on about 8 courses so far and the yardage is right on compared to the courses that have cart GPS. It’s simple and gives you the yardage to the hazards and to the green without doing anything, gives me more time to try to hit the ball straight! The only complaint I have so far is the belt clip broke after just two rounds. I ordered a couple of new ones so I will see how they work. The first of batteries lasted about 3 rounds but I recently purchased re-chargables so that won’t be a problem. I would recommend the Golflogix to anyone who wants a simple, easy to use GPS that has a very affordable price.

  9. great product at an affordable price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m very happy so far with my new gps by Golflogixs. It’s easy to use and was way more affordable than a skycaddie. Take’s 2 AA batteries and you can golf several rounds before replacing them. Just keep a spare set in your bag and their easy to replace right on the course! It’s not fancy like the skycaddie, but everyone I know that has the skycaddie doesn’t even use all of its features because it’s too complicated to learn how, especially during a round of golf when you want to keep play moving. My golflogixs is always within one to two yards of the skycaddie readings, too.

The Golf Logix GPS is a great product to help lower your score by giving you accurate yardage from your last drive or fairway shot. Additionally, yardage to hazards and greens even if your one fairway away like my golf partner. It is more reasonably priced through AMAZON than other GPS systems available on the market. The great part is you can download 20 courses throughout the world not just the ten from other GPS companies that charge a yearly membership of $39.95. Golf Logix only charges the low yearly membership fee of $29.95.

Thank you golflogix for such a great product.I went right to the web sight loaded in my courses and went out and played. The yardage is very accurate I checked it against sprinkler heads and it was right on all the time. Also it was very easy to use and read. The price is very reasonable to. It tells you everything you need to play. There is no need to pay more money for a gps with other things on it that you don’t even need.Thank you again Happy Customer.

Any one who wants to improve golf should get this- When you play a new course, it really helps to know where the hazards are. Used it for vacation- Good batteries lasted almost 6 courses. Love it!!

  13. GolfLogix is not reliable
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I would not recommend the GolfLogix device. Not only is it plagued by short battery life as others have said. My unit Freezes up every few rounds and none of the buttons will respond including off. I must open the back and remove the batteries to shut it down. When I replace the batteries and turn it back on it remains frozen. The only way to get it to work again is to hook it up to my computer and reprogram all of the courses. This usually lasts a few rounds but today it froze 8 holes after reprogramming. It also will lose a hole now and then. You play the same course every day and suddenly hole 10 is missing. The same reprogramming fix must be done. The technical support is a joke. They could care less what your problem is.

I found this very easy to use, downloading courses was simple. the golflogix on the course is very easy to read the numbers are big so glasses are not needed, very understandable where the distance from the hazards are. The golflogix does not give detailed map of green but gives front, middle and back. I like this one better than the skycaddie I did have. Two AA batteries no need to charge just carry extra good to go.
