McKinney Make a Difference Day – What a way to give back to the community

Leadership McKinney was started in 1988 as a community leadership development program, which is also known as program of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. Also, every year hundreds of voluteers of McKinney Center throughout the community organize a beautiful event on 4th Saturday in October by participating in different types of services projects like planting oak trees, building bences for the riders, putting beautiful landscaped shaded pergola structure for families and their friends to watch the loved ones riding in uncovered arena. Yes.. McKinney Make a Difference Day is being held in conjuction with the National Points of Light event, where this year as a special, around 40 enthusiatic volunteers, from rmcn credit services participated in this grand event, most of these volunteers were either prior graduates or current class of Leadership McKinney. They started their task exactly at 8 AM in the morning by setting off to improve the school’s playground, doing landscaping and then lay the groundwork for the community garden.
